My first year here at PCMS is coming to an end and I couldn't be happier with the way this year has turned out. Throughout this year students have designed and created many outstanding projects and hopefully have learned a thing or two about the engineering design process.
6th Grade:
During the last two weeks of class I believe students had a lot of fun creating, painting, then racing their own dragsters. If you are a parent of a 6th grade student you have probably seen your students dragster come home with them this past week. If you haven't seen it ask about the dragster at home.

Furniture Design |
We have been busy in 7th grade technology and engineering with two more projects being due this last week of school. Students created their own furniture design that was supposed to meet a need or want in their own room. I have a few pictures below. Some of the best ideas involved some innovative storage features. Last but not least students created a pegboard toy and a parts inventory in Autodesk Inventor.

8th Grade:

The past two weeks 8th grade students had extra time to work on maker projects. Two of the completed projects are pictured below! We also learned the basics in a new architectural software called Autodesk Revit. If students take any architectural class in high school they will be using Autodesk Revit.
